The Great And Powerful Oz

Met up with Eng Sang for dinner at Northpoint.
The dear girl suffered quite a bit. :(
Hope she get well soon..

After encountering her situation, I feel that life's too short to waste so much time.
Anything can happen anytime.
Everyday we read news reports on people pass on.
No matter how they want to continue living, they just couldn't anymore.
On the other hand whereby we are the more fortunate ones, we should cherish the time and what we have.
That's why I am trying to fulfill all the wishes I can as long as I am alive. :)

So after our dinner, we went to catch a movie.
Actually, The Great and Powerful Oz is not in my Movie-To-Watch list.
Since, my dear girl wanna watch it, I accompanied her.



Surprisingly, this is a good movie.
I even enjoyed this movie more than the Hobbit.
The flying Monkey is funny and the Porcelain China Girl is so cute and pretty.
At first, you thought the bad witch was the good and but actually its the other way round.





The Oz looks like a paradize to me.
Always love fantasy movies due to the beautiful graphics. ^^

Worth the watch for me. :D

So yesterday, BF and I went to watch the movie.

After watching the movie, I wouldn't say the movie is great though..
Only some parts will startled you and some parts the audiences find it funny..

The story plot is like Ju On whereby they tell you story by story of each characters.
Then you have to pieces up the story yourselves.
Actually, there's link to each stories so you won't get confused.

I guess it bores the audiences when watching because they seems to have quite a few stories of the characters and we didn't when its going to end..
I can hear other people expressed like "errr... there's some more characters?". Lol~

Well, to be honest, I feel that its not really worth watching. :)

Rainy Weekend

Just another Saturday with boyfriend.
However, it was sucha a cold and wet weather that day..


Thus I had put my knitwear into good use. :D

We went shopping for CNY clothes and random window shopping.
Seriously, I hate hate going out on sucha wet day.
I hate that my legs and feet gets wet so I dislike wearing long dress, jeans and covered shoes when its raining. >:/

So after shopping, we went to watch MAMA, a horror movie.
Not a bad movie just that, its quite sad in the end whereby the younger girl followed the ghostly mother.
Ok, go watch it yourself.. Haha..

Dinner at Shiraz Mazzeh whereby BF always wanted to try when we walked past Ngee Ann City..
I was very surprised that they have never ending long queues. =O

We sat there and overlook the whole process. Haha..


Boyfriend went to order so I'm unsure of the price and the menu.
I just know that mine is called Chicken Shawarma.
Also, I totally love the fries as it is fried until it's super crispy.


Wrapped in kebab, inside its shredded chicken and lettuce.


Left side is the chicken and the right is beef.

Overall, I quite like it especially the fries.
For mine shawarma, I didn't put any sauce so it taste plain. Haha..
In future, when I eat again I will get the BBQ sauce.
For the amount of food, it can make me feel full.

So after dinner, we left for home as it was late and we were tired out from the walking... :)

Engsang's 26th

Last Saturday, we sort of celebrated Engsang's 26th birthday.

Actually, it seems like a monthly gathering instead of celebration already. Haha..

So I met up with Jingwen at Somerset to have lunch first while waiting for the birthday girl today.
This time the late queen had her reason for being late so we forgave her. :)

Anyway we went to do some window shopping at Scape and then off for dinner at Cineleisure before heading for our movie, Taxi Taxi, a Singapore film..
The movie is so-so only.
Dr. Jia Jia in the movie like to say "Kee Chiew" (which means hand up) a lot.
Okay, I didn't really watch his youtube so I guess I shall search some of his video to watch. Haha..

So after the movie, we went to chill at the Coffee Club outside H&M for awhile.


They ordered some desserts, while I ordered the hot chocolate to soothe my stomach.
Wasn't feeling unwell. Period. :(

After which, we parted.
Cant wait for the next meet up.
I guess we are heading to JB to have our nails done and also makan and shopping. :D

Busy Week!

Back with an update for this week!
Since Chrismas is round the corner, I met up with some friends for X'mas dinner, movie and catching up.
Its like meeting up for the last time for this year.
There will be some more meetup next week.
I shall blogged for this week.

On 18 Dec (Tues), I met up with Tommy.H to watch 3AM.
We said before the previous meeting to watch it together.



This is a Thailand horror film consist of 3 different stories.
I find that it is not very scary visually.
As usual, it the sound that scares you.
The 3 stories are quite predictable and easy to understand.
However, the last story is quite confusing because its all about ghost prank.
What I learnt from the last story is that 人吓人，会害死人 which means human scared human, will make one die. -_-"

On 19 Dec (Wed), I met up with Shari for X'mas dinner at Sakura International Buffet located at Dhoby Ghaut Green.

Meet other guys, except my BF, no make up I dont care.
Err.. actually sometimes I meet BF, I also no makeup so must depends on occasion also.
BUT meet my girlfriends, I will put makeup to take photos one. :p

Ok, so Sheauwei was suppose to join us but she couldn't make it last minute because she fell sick.
Therefore, there were only me and Shari.
However, its okay we had a lot of catch up that day since our last met was May. :)
She's very motherly now.




I got her Face Shop Hand Lotion chosen myself.
I hope she likes it. :)

On 20 Dec (Thurs), I met up with Desmond for Xmas cum his birthday dinner.
He just suddenly msged me out for meetup then I am like "Okay, anything". LOL..
I don't know why but this year he just pop out and met me for lunch twice during working hours.
1st was because he said he just joined AIA lah... so you know the reason.
But he said he not aggressive kind... so the 2nd and 3rd time still okay..
We just met for catching up only.. LOL!

By the way, mum just got back from her Korea trip.
And she bought lots of things back.
She got me Natural Republic mask and I hope its good.
And a bear..........




Hahaha.. like very weird lea.. she got me this bear.
At the first look, I thot its not very cute.
However, a few looks, I find it quite cute lah.. HAHAAH!

Finally she's back lah.
The 1 whole week she not around, the house feels quite empty kind.
Every night, I got to off the lights and lock the door.
Usually I don't do this kinda things one.. Hehheh.

Alrite.
More updates to come due to xmas and new year.
So yup, new year resolution will be up probably 1st few days of 2013.
And I still clearing my Phuket and then my Bangkok trip.

By the way, yesterday's Doom's day wasn't real.
And we all survived! :D

Silent Hill Revelation 3D

Silent Hill Revelation 3D is a sequel to the horror film, Silent Hill dated year 2006.
It is a combination of element of game no.3 which continue from the game no.1.

The story plot flows well with flashback from the previous movie.
However, I feel that it lacks of scariness.
Quite disappointed with the scene of the scary nurses. :(

Anyway, I am a fan of Silent Hill game but didn't get the chance to continue after the 1st series. :(

SM Town Live in Tokyo Special Edition (3D)

Won a pair of ticket from Mr Popcorn (GV) to watch the SM Town Live in Tokyo Special Edition in 3D.
The 98 mins show features TVXQ, BoA, Super Junior, Girl's Generation, f(x) and Shinee performing in Tokyo Dome last year 2011.
Actually they mainly features TVXQ, Super Junior, Girl's Generation and Shinee.
I was disappointed that the show only feature BoA performing 1 English song.

Watching in the Cinema is different feeling from watching from Live (Duh!).
However, it would be good if they put us in Digital theatre room.
For a price of $18 (GV Member) / $24 (Public), I feel that its not worth watching.
I rather save that money to watch streaming in youtube. :)

Ah Boys To Men

Watched Ah Boys To Men yesterday with boyfriend.
I was eager to watch ever since I know about this film.
I am a fan of Jack Neo's movie and almost every production from him, I have watched it before.!

REVIEW
As we all know that Jack Neo's movie will never fail to make the audiences laugh while watching the movie.
I laughed so hard that I teared at some part of the scenes.
I find that the movie, Ah Boys To Men, is a movie that educate us about the past and present National Service (NS) life of the Singaporean men.
Not only that, they also educate us on the situation - what if one day Singapore is being attacked by unknown enemies and how we should react on the situation when happened.

For this new movie after his hiatus, he introduced some new faces to act in his movie.
Examples are the blogger - BongQiuQiu, and also Singapore Youtubers - Tosh Rock and Noah Yap.
I really like how Tosh Rock portray himself as the Platoon Sergeant because he acted naturally in the movie. ^^

Overall, I think the movie is worth the watch!
I can't wait for the part 2 to be out next year. :)

Liar Game: Reborn

First, I watched liar Game: Reborn Special Fukunaga VS Yokoya.
The name of game is called the Taboo Game.
This is a 1 vs 1 game competing in four rounds which they have to figure out a way to steal 100 million yen off their opponents money without breaking the taboo.


After watching the game above, I watched the Liar Game: Reborn because that when it link to the next game called the Musical Chair game.
Same as the past few episodes, their plot and goal is the same.
For this movie, Kanzaki Nao was replaced by Yu Shinomiya.
I heard that many people was unhappy of the replacement.
Actually, I prefer Kanzaki Nao too!

So anyway, like I said earlier the plot is the same as before which is to help each other to create a win-win game.
Similarly, Kanzaki and Shinomiya both have same intention which is to help the other player.
However. whenever they wanted them to cooperate, no one wants to listen to them.
Thus, with the help of Akiyama Shinichi , whom still being the best of best, came up with his winning strategy to help out the players.
The result came out rather unexpectedly because Akiyama didn't made himself the winner....

I shall not say much, you can watched the video below. :)


I'm not sure if there will be more coming up.
However, from what I see in the Liar Game manga page in the Wikipedia, there's a new game.
Hopefully, they will come out the new game.

Maybe, I really shall start reading the manga... Haha..

Taichi Hero《太极之英雄崛起》

I caught Taichi 0 last month with invite from OMY.sg. (See review on Taichi 0 here.)
So today, BF and I went to watch Taichi Hero which is the sequel of Taichi 0.

Taichi Hero has much more fighting scenes than in Taichi 0.
BF said that he prefer Taichi Hero but as for me I like Taichi 0 better.
Anyway, both movies are nice.
Especially the kungfu scenes are good.

I feel that currently for Mandarin movies, these Taichi movie are worth the watch. :)

Thai Romance-Comedy Movie

Recently I watched 2 romance-comedy Thai film which was intro to me by Tommy.

Flim: A Little Thing Called Love

The story depicts how love can affect the young people in their lives and inspiration.
It started about the main female cast was an ugly duckling and slowly she became a swan.
Its like she is pursuing to become better and better for herself and also for the person she loves.
Some parts of the show is humorous and touching, however some parts are quite dull too.
Oh, I sobbed at one part because it was too touching already! :X
Nonetheless, the main casts are pretty girl and handsome boy. :D

The story portrays a young Thai man and woman who meet by coincidence while on vacation in South Korea.
They decide to tour Korea together while keeping their names secret from each other.
Then slowly they fall in love with each other unknowingly.
After watching this movie, I got the urge to go Korea!!
Hahaha.. Because many parts of Korea was being film. OMG!
Anyway, I feel that this movie is not as nice as 'A Little Thing Called Love'.
Still there's some humorous part but it didn't really touch my heart.

Yup, so these are the 2 Thai Film that I've watched.
I'm not into Thai film but these 2 are not bad really.
Hoping to watch more nice one in future~ ^_^

Taichi 0《太极之从零开始》Gala Premiere

I attended the Taichi 0 《太极一之从零开始》Gala Premiere which was held at Golden Village Vivocity on Monday.
The special cast appearance that day were Stephen Fung (冯德伦), Tony Leung Ka Fai (梁家辉) and Yuan Xiaochao (袁晓超).
I was excited to see Stephen Fung because he was one of my favourite actor when I was young.
He is really handsome. :D

The Red Carpet




Asked the BF along to watch the movie with me.
As I got a pair of the movie ticket.

Before the special cast appearance, there's also Wushu performance.
The performers are as young as 5 year old only!
I am really impressed with their Wushu skills!

Taichi 0 Movie Review

 

TaiChi 0 《太极一之从零开始》movie is directed by director Stephen Fung and the main casts are Angelababy, Tony Leung and Yuan Xiaochao.
This movie really entertaining as the movie infuses comedy with action.
I find it worth the ticket price to go watch it!

Tachi 0 will be out in theatre on 4 October 2012.
While the sequel TaiChi Hero 《太极二之英雄崛起》will be out 3 weeks later on 25 October 2012!
Normally, we need to wait for at least a year for the sequel to be out but this, we only need to wait less than a month! Wow point!
So be sure to go catch it!

Movie for September 2012

In this month of September, I watched a few nice movie.
Just wanna write a review for these movie.


Step Up: Revolution
A.K.A Step 4.
As usual I love their dance, their choreography!
This time they performed flash mob in various places.
Unlike the previous are about dance battles.
For the story flow, I find it quite decent.
As for the music/ songs, I don't really like what they chose this time. D;


Resident Evil: Retribution
Story flow not very fantastic.
The show seems to end very fast without much climax.
Yes, its that bad that I don't even know how to review this show. -.-


The Fierce Wife Final 犀利人妻最终回：幸福男 • 不难
I've watched the drama for this show and really likes it.
As for this final, it is saying Xie An Zhen (acted by Sonia Sui) will chose who in the end.
Before watching, I didn't really think much who will she be with in the end.
To me, the ending comes out quite unexpected.
Also, some part of the show is really funny, thanks to Li Pei Xu again who liven up the show.
Sonia Sui is really pretty in this movie.


The Possession
Another show something like Exorcism of Emily Rose.
However, Emily Rose is more horror than this movie.
It stated based on true story, but I wonder if its true?
Anyhow, I guess the family ended with a happy ending whereby the family member is being exorcist and no one in the family is killed by the demon.
The story flow is ok but still some parts of the show seems not very right to me. Haha..
Still not bad for a horror show.

IMPERFECT 《我们都不完美》Red Carpet + Gala Premiere

Thanks to OMY.sg, I attended the Red Carpet + Gala Premiere for our local movie - IMPERFECT 《我们都不完美》 on Monday (27 August 2012).
This event took place at GV Vivocity.





At about 7.30pm the red carpet started and a few stars came to support this movie.
I didn't took any photos because I forgot to bring my camera!
Moreover my camera phone bad quality is sucha turnoff so I didn't really bother to take much photo already.
It's a waste when I was quite close to them. D;

Anyway all the cast of the movie attended and the mediacorp artists who came to support were 郑各平, 洪惠芳, 宋仪菲, 朱厚任, 黎费辉, 陈旭辉, 欧萱, 插班生 and few more..

Most of the younger teens came to support their idols (Kimberly Chia, Edwin Goh, Ian Fang and Elizabeth Lee).
As for me, I was quite happy to catch a glimpse of Patrick Li Pei Xu (李沛旭), my favourite comedian idol from Taiwan. ^^

Collected my ticket and proceeded to Hall 2 for the movie preview after the red carpet end.



THE STORY

Jianhao, Zach and Square are buddies. The trio was forced to separate, when Jianhao was sent to a Boys' Home after hurting someone in the course of protecting Zach. Jianhao's mother - Huifang was devastated.

After Jianhao's term at the Boys' Home, Huifang arranged for him to help out at her stall in Bugis. With the encouragement of his girlfriend - Shan Shan, Jianhao decided to retake his 'O' level. Everyone is happy about Jianhao's attempt to have a fresh start.

However, the good days are short-lived. Zach and Jianhao joined the triad, to escape the bullying of Alex, their arch-rival, who is also the son of triad leader, Guodong. In one of the clashes, Jianhao saves his leader, Zhihua, leaving an impression on the latter.

Zhihua and Guodong are enemies, their rivalry intensified when Zach and Jianhao injured Alex severely, leaving him comatose.

Guodong is determined to avenge his son and the party of Jianhao, Zach and Square became fugitives overnight... With Guodong and the police racing to capture the trio, will Zhihua come to the boys' rescue?

Ok.. Thats for you all to go and watch and find out..

MY REVIEW

In this movie, I like the part whereby Patrick Li's role lighten up the mood at some part of the scene.
As usual his sense of humor never fail to bring out the laughter of the audiences.
Other than this, I also feel touched at some part.
The young Malaysian girl who acted as Jianhao's sister also attracted me.
Our teens actor also did well in their roles.

As quoted in the movie, “Life only one time, no next time” make an impact to me. I feel that this quote is very meaningful.

Overall, I feel that the story flow well and I can say this is one of the best local movie. I would rate this show 3.5/5.

IMPERFECT 《我们都不完美》 will start showing on 30 August 2012 in Singapore.
FYI, it is rated NC16 due to the coarse language.
Hmm.. that's too bad for those who is 15 and below..

Long Weekend is L.O.V.E!

How's your long weekend?
Mine was good this time.
Made quite full use of it with BF instead of sleeping and slacking at home. ^~^
I wanted to go for an impromptu short getaway but dropped the idea when I cant find any good place to go.
Actually I thought of Bintan but it was quite expensive.
Maybe I shall go there another time, maybe after my BKK trip.

So on the Saturday, I met up with BF for lunch then we headed off for our movie.
Watched Expendable 2.
I was reluctant to catch it because the movie not my fave genre, moreover I didnt watch the 1st series.



After watching the movie, I did not regret at all.
This movie is good!
The action scenes are exciting and their dialogues are filled with sarcasm and its really funny!

After movie, we headed down to Ippudo Ramen!
Was craving for this for so so long!
Finally I can has a feast of my favourite ramen in Singapore!
Ordered my usual dishes.

Forgot to take the pork bun cos to busy eating already. :p
We shopped around for a while before going home.
Bought a G2000 formal top for $16 only.
Cheap deal~

On Sunday, BF decided to go for a run at the stadium near my house.
So in the evening we went over to execrise.
Next day, we had body ache.
Its good to lose some calories but our effort wasted when it comes to our dinner.
We ate so much! D;

We went for dinner at the hawker center then head down to Bottle Tree Park and chillax.

I actually gained 2kg when I weighed myself on Monday. -.-

On Monday, we watched like 2 movies shown on Channel 5.
Then in the evening we decided to go to the food fair for our dinner.
Actually nothing much there.
The food are almost the same as the previous food fair at EXPO.
We ordered quite much and almost couldn't finish it. Haha..



After which, he sent me home.
Now then I realize I'm like eating and eating for the past 3 days. *faint*
Gotta start to lose some calories~
My goal of 48kg! I really duno when can I achieve it. =/




Balloon that bf got and I took it to #camwhore. :p
