Boyfriend Bday Trip - Phuket 2012 (Part 3)

Read Part 1 and Part 2 of my Phuket trip if you haven't! :D

So continue from Part 2...
After our snorkeling tour, we went back to our hotel room.
Washed up and change for the night.

My #OOTD for the night.
Lovin' the 2 photos taken by BF. :)

So during the night, we dined at Savoey Seafood Restaurant, an open-air restaurant.
We decided to dine there because the place was filled with people so we thought we can try there.
Actually, we heard another place which is a better restaurant from my friend but we didn't manage to find that place.
Anyway, it was a birthday dinner treat for the boyfriend. :)

There are wide varieties of food to choose from.
Below are what we ordered for the 2 of us.

The food was not bad.
I remembered we ate the crab quite messily.
I think the price of the food is not very cheap as well due to the crab..
Still, its worth the try. :)

After our dinner, we went for a walk for the night.
It was also our last night in Phuket...

The streets of clubs and pubs is quite crowded during the night.

And this is the Tiger Live, filled with neon lights.

We bought a small bottle of barcadi at one of the mama shop to drink.
If I remember correctly, it costs abou S$8 for this small bottles.
Mixed with coke and sprites but didn't manage to finish it. LOL~

The next day, we took a morning flight back to SG.
It was raining heavily on our way to the airport.
We were lucky that during our stay, there no rain to spoil our trip. :)

Boyfriend Bday Trip - Phuket 2012 (Part 2)

Previously, I blogged on Part 1 of my Phuket trip which we spend 1 day to see see look look around Phuket island.

Next day, we woke up early as we booked the day trip snorkeling tour to Phi Phi Island.
The tour cost 3200baht (approx. SGD133) per person.
I feel that it is quite expensive but we trust the hotel receptionist who could arrange the tour for us so we decided to book from them..

Tired and shag face.
Without makeup made my face worst. D;

So, we waited for a mini van which then came to pick us up and transfer us to Royal Phuket Marina Pier.
After which, we board the speed boat to Phi Phi island.
Phi Phi island is separate to Phi Phi Ley, Phi Phi Don and Khai Nok island.

First we reached Phi Phi Ley.
They brought us a few places like Maya Bay, Pileh Cove, Viking Cave and Loh Saman Bay.

This is the Viking Cave if I am not wrong.

Pileh Cove.

I went into the sea for awhile. ;p
Because BF couldn't swim so I was alone.
I just went down to see if there's anything nice.
However, the coral reef are like all dead.
The greeny water is not clear.
Still, I took some pictures.

Lots of this type of fishes.

Back up onto the boat.

Then we went to Phi Phi Don which we viewed lots of monkeys at the trees!
Didn't manage to take any photos.

Then we went to have lunch at a beachside restaurant which is located at Phi Phi Don.
The food was so-so only.
After eating, we still have some time so we went to check out the shops there.

1hr later, we gathered back at the speed boat and we went to the last location at Khai Nok Island.
At Khai Nok Island, we had some free time to relax at the beach, feed fishes, snorkel or swimming.

Lots of small fishes.
Not sure what species are these.

Saw a black creatures which we don't know of? Like stingray or jellyfish?
So we decided to left the place. Look scary..

Storm is coming....

The blurry part of the picture is the water droplets. Haha..
My camera was kept in the waterproof pouch so that's explain the condensation of the water..

FISHES!

Us feeding them.
When we hold on the bread all just swam to us.
I filmed a part whereby BF was feeding them. (Video at the end of post)

Our free period was shortened because suddenly it rained really heavily and everyone had to squeeze into a small shelter.
All feeling really cold and drenched.
It rained for about 30mins or so...
By the time the rain stopped, we had to go back to our hotel.

As that was my 2nd snorkeling tour, 1st was at Redang, I find that this tour was not as enjoyable as when I was at Redang.
Still, it was a new experience for us.

Will be back for the last part.
As for now, enjoy the short video of us feeding the fishes. :D

Boyfriend Bday Trip - Phuket 2012 (Part 1)

OHAI!
Finally gotta start blogging my Phuket trip during May period.
I wanna clear up all my travels within 31 Dec 2012.
I HOPE I CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!! *challenge accepted + determine face*

So, about 2 weeks after my Taiwan trip, BF and I fly to Phuket for a 3D2N (5 May 2012 to 7 May 2012) birthday trip for him.
We thought to go for a relaxation trip this time like we did at Redang last year.

We stayed at R-Mar Resort and Spa and we had a great stay even though this resort is kinda deserted..
Anyway, arranged for airport transfer so we got someone to pick us up and bring us to our resort.

The hotel receptionists can speak English and they were really friendly who guide us to places and also arranged for snorkeling package for us.
I always feel that hotel receptionist must be very helpful because tourists who come to an unfamiliar city, they would want to enjoy and left a good impression.
For me, I always go for free an easy tour.
Even with web research, there might still lack of information so that's you still need guidance from people who are familiar right?

R-Mar Resort and Spa is located in the central area of Patong and the surrounding is a pretty peaceful and quiet.
A few minute walk, you will reach the beach, shopping areas and the nightclubs and pubs.
Not a need to take a cab or tuk-tuk to anywhere.
For this trip, we stick to the area around our hotel and we didn't go far.
The disadvantage is the hotel is quite deserted so you need to ask the way out but it is easy to go back and fro.

Our comfy bed.

There's bathtub!

The balcony.

Looking outside the balcony.

Got ready and out to explore the places.
Our first stop is the Patong Beach.

Aww I miss my long long hair..D;

Sawadee ka~

After which, we random walk and saw a shopping centre.
Settled our lunch at one of the Thai Restaurant, Le Siam.

Rice in the shape of a pyramid.

Green curry is a must to order whenever we visit Thai Restaurant.

Sweet and Sour fish.

Mixed Vegetable.

I love the food from Le Siam, the food are delicious.!
No doubt an authentic Thai food.

Anyway Le Siam is located at Jungceylon Shopping Centre.
Just outside these pillars which I don't know if these pillars are still around.
Well, the restaurant is easy to spot actually.

Some touristy shot.

Awww cute bunnies.
I didn't buy them back. :S

Randomly walked around the shopping centre and came across the shop called Mega Force Gun Simulator shop which interests BF.
As you know its a guy thing, we girls just don't understand why they like these stuffs just like they don't understand why we love makeups, dolls and etc. LOL!

Him trying out the run.

His score.
Well, not too bad right?
I saw 9 and 8 points there. :D

Hmm all these are for sales?!
I wonder who will buy it really...

After shopping at Jungceylon, we also walked along the streets of Patong.
Along the streets, there are shops that sells clothes, slippers, etc.
You need to bargain really hard because all of them priced it at high price which targets the tourists.

There's a stretch of road with bars and pubs.
During the night, those pub and bars will be open and the road will be closed at the area.
It wasn't crowded but still very happening.
By the way, we didn't patronize any of the clubs. Haha..
Still we saw some beautiful girls (which I don't know if there are real girls), promoting to get customers.

So this is the Tiger show at Phuket.

At night, we dined at the restaurant at our hotel.
Food is not as fantastic but I fell in love with the shrimps paste there.
Till now, I am still craving for it~

Bf's Phad Thai.

My prawn spaghetti.

Shrimps paste.

Alrite, I'm ending my Part 1 for Day 1.
Will come back with Part 2.
Stay tune.
