Nuffnang Lovin' x Freeing SG

Last Monday, I attended an event organized by Nuffnang Lovin' x Freeing SG.
In this event, we are grouped in 5-6 people in a team to play a reality room escape game.
Previously, I tried a similar room escape game, so I sort of have some "experience" with this game.

Freeing SG 《逃出狮城》 is set to take the 5D entertainment landscape in Singapore to a whole new level with the official opening of their first outlet in Singapore today.

Based on the popular “Freeing HK” model – the first reality room escape game in Hong Kong – Freeing SG gives players the experience of a lifetime as they rack their brains to escape a “real-life” situation.
Inspired by virtual “Escape Room” video games and web-based browser games, Freeing SG takes the experience further by immersing players in a physical reality to solve puzzles first hand.

Freeing SG aims to add a new dimension to a Singaporean entertainment scene dominated by movies and shopping.
Four to eight players are stuck in a locked room or location where their only way out is to search for clues, solve puzzles and uncover secrets within a given time limit.
Say goodbye to mindless amusement – players will really need their wits about them!

Freeing SG’s current line up of four rooms will be expanded gradually in batches to a total 10 rooms by the end of October. Players will get to choose themed environments like horror or others where they have to solve a mysterious crime.
Freeing SG will also have a dedicated Research and Development team to constantly update its entertainment offerings.

My team (L-R) Serene, Myself, Clinton, Wansing, Yvonne, Szeki.

So my team was being appointed to the room called Unmasked, which is said to be the most difficult and interesting of all?
Well, we were quite lucky, I guess..

We are entitled with ONE hint throughout the game and we have to escape the room within 45 minute.
But worry not, even if you are stuck after using the only 1 hint, I am sure the very helpful Game Master will help you out.
I can't reveal much but my tips are you need to have good teamwork, and be observance!
It is really fun so good luck with the game~

So, we managed to escape the room safely. Haha~

Even if you didn't managed to solve the challenge, the game master will explain to you what's missing.
And that's why you are not allow to play the room more than once.

I shall end this post with some selfie with my team mates. ;)

SCRUM! 《冲锋!》 Private Screening

I was one of the blogger who was being invited for SCRUM! 《冲锋!》 Private Screening at Sheraton Towers Singapore Hotel.

Went to the event with Kenny.

Y.E.S 933 Jeff is the host of the night.

The cast who's there for the private screening.
They started off introducing themselves and the characters they act in.

Felicia Chin, Chris Lee, Jeffrey Xu, Allen Chen, Jae Liew, Carrie Wong.

The Rugby boys

Group photo

A bunch of passionate polytechnic rugby players is stuck in a doldrums of failures year after year, no matter how hard they try – they always end up at the last in all competitions. Some started to give up and trade their dreams for greener pastures, while some lost faith and drive in life altogether. They’re known as the hooligans without teeth in the school – the empty vessels. Their only hope is for an experienced coach to bring them back onto the path of victory. Is Huang Zhao Nan the one?

After watching the first episode, I really like it because not only because it is humorous, but there are many eye-candies to see. Haha! Well, I'm not joking. :)
I always like teen drama so if you are like me, you shall not miss it.
The drama shall tell the story of a group poly boys who have the passion for rugby.
With the intensive training given by Coach Huang Zhao Nan, they will go on the path of victory.

SCRUM! 《冲锋!》 will be aired on 26 Feb 2014, every Wednesday to Friday at 8pm!
Be sure to catch it! :)

Find the WASABI Private Screening Event

Last Saturday, I was invited by Channel U for the Find the WASABI Private Screening Event.
The event was held at Kuishin-bo, Great World City.
“Find the WASABI!” 《Wasabi 新体验》, a total of 13 episode, is an info-variety, reality-TV Asian co-pro series in which 3 Asian celebs with extensive knowledge on Japan compete against each other to find the hidden taste of Japan – further discovering its culture, food, lifestyle and people through challenging tasks and games.

Seraph Sun 孙欣佩 who was one of the winner in 《熠熠星光总动员》 S.N.A.P back in 2010, is Singapore's representative for this program.

Interviewed by Y.E.S 933 Ivy, Seraph shared about her experience for Find The WASABI in Japan.
There are different challenging tasks for them to complete and at the end of the day, there will be one winner.

We got to preview the 1st and 2nd episode of Find the WASABI and I find the program really interesting and entertaining.
Through the show, we will be able to discover more about Japan and their culture.
I will definitely continue to catch this program to get to know more about Japan!

A sneak peak for you.

Episode 1 is more of an introduction of the this program and the 3 representatives from Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
3 Asian celebs have come to Japan for a competition to find the “secret spice” of Japan.
The 3 WASABI Hunters will live together in the “WASABI House”, and every week, they will face the challenges of various “Japanese Cultural Mission”.
Only 1 person will emerge as the ultimate winner and be crowned the prestige title of WASABI CHAMPION.

Episode 2, the 3 WASABI Hunters welcome the mission for the day which is the RAMEN Report!
After learning the skills of TV gourmet report from the Japanese master himself, the 3 hunters rival at the Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum.
The loser faces the first BATSU GAME of the series!
Seraph Sun emerged as the winner for this battle.

Found the trailer for your preview on Youtube but its in Japanese. :)

After the screening, there were games involved in answering question about Japan.
Those who couldn't get the correct answer will be forfeited - eating Sushi filled with Wasabi.
I guess the people who was selected had fun.

Toward the end of the event, we had a sumptuous Japanese feast at Kuishin-bo.

Thanks for the invitation and small gift for us.

Find the Wasabi premieres on Channel U from 18 Feb 14, Tuesday at 8pm.
I would really recommend to watch this program if you are very into Japan culture or would love to catch something amusing and entertaining. :)

Press Release:

Local Bloggers in Singapore have gathered to ask the general public to support their craft by sharing their publicity video and to sign an online form. A cause #SupportSGBloggers has been created to let Singaporeans show their support and appreciation for the hard work of Bloggers in Singapore.

The image of bloggers has suffered due to recent controversies on bloggers demanding freebies from merchants such as restaurants or salons, etc. The job as a blogger has always been a difficult and thankless one. To bring the softer, up-to-date and important news to the general public, it demands time, effort, passion and determination to curate & perfect the content.

The campaign hopes to encourage Singaporeans to say 'YES' to the work of bloggers and to recognize the value of blogs and microsites in helping them make their day-to-day important decisions.

Hong Peng, a blogger who blogs at http://hpility.blogspot.sg/, and a director for the publicity video ‘We are Bloggers’ opined ‘This is a very timely and meaningful movement to get Singaporeans’ support on our craft. I have been blogging since 2007 and I take pride in attending events and launches, and bringing up-to-date information to all my readers. I see my job as an important one as it affects my readers’ decisions in all areas of their lives. I blog to see things differently and I hope Singaporeans can see the hard work we put in as bloggers’.

Wee Heng, a popular blogger who blogs at http://www.aspirantsg.com said, ‘Participating in this video has allowed like-minded bloggers to come together for a common goal, and simply, to share our joy and love for blogging, as this unique craft has been widely misunderstood. All of us have a deep passion and mission for blogging and we ensure our blog entries are professional. We hope Singaporeans can come forward to show us their support in this regard’.

Singaporeans can access https://www.causes.com/campaigns/70778-raise-awareness-on-the-craft-of-blogging-in-singapore to give their support. The campaign, which has a target of 1000 signatures, ends 31st Jan 2014.

This initiative is spearheaded by The Influencer Network, the fastest Influencer PR Agency in Singapore.

Ways to support this cause:

1) Share the Publicity Video on Facebook and Social networks
2) HashTag #SupportSGBloggers on Twitter and Instagram
3) Sign the cause at https://www.causes.com/campaigns/70778-raise-awareness-on-the-craft-of-blogging-in-singapore

I have support the cause.
Do show your support too!
Lastly thanks The Influencer Network family for the hard work! :)

Bloggers Get-together and Award Presentation

Hello! Finally a proper blog post.

Few days ago, i received an email for an invitation for Bloggers Get-together and Award Presentation as my blog post has made it to the TOP 12 out of about 70+ entries for the 7- Eleven Leading Brands Blogger’s Contest.

If you haven read mine, then click the below link. :D
http://loves-jing.blogspot.sg/2012/10/7-eleven-leading-brand-contest.html

The event was held last Friday which is the last day of November, at the 7-Eleven store at UE Square located around Clemenceau Avenue.
The 7-11 store there has a café settings which said to be a new café concept store!
Bigger store with tables and chairs for people to sit down and sit, or study or getting together with friends. (WOW!)

Yup, my plus one is Sheauwei~

First, we were served a 7-Eleven new Slurpee drink!
It is White Chocolate Slurpee and I like it!
Doesn't really taste like white chocolate but Vanilla flavored to me.
Something like Vanilla + carbonated drink.

After all the bloggers reached, we were all gathered to tour around the 7-Eleven.

The lady is black is the organizer for the blogging contest.
On that day, she's also our "tour guide" introducing the products in 7-Eleven.

Look like there's something new there..

Took a closer look. hmmm..
The staff prepared some food for us to taste.

This is the newest item in 7-Eleven Singapore called the ODEN or 關東煮 (Guan Dong Zhu) which is very popular in Taiwan and Japan.
Sheauwei told me that she saw this at Taiwan 7-Eleven!
How come didn't i saw it? I must be not observant enough!
Anyway in Singapore there are about 7 stores selling it already.
From the menu, there are 6 items + Mee Goreng to choose from.
Get it for $2.50 choosing Set A or B.

ODEN cannot satisfy your hunger still?
There's still waffle!

Sheauwei and I had a piece. *Yum yum*

After touring the place, we went back to our seats.
Then its time for food tasting!

Table of food!
And that is ODEN.

Sheauwei and I shared this.
Mee Goreng to me is quite a disappointment though.
But the other cup of food is good!

While having our food, the organizer also announcer the winner of the blogging contest.

After which we continue to eat and eat.
7-Eleven was very very generous to offer us to eat and eat and eat.
Keep asking us to take the food, or they put the food on our table.
In the end, Sheauwei and I skipped dinner after eating the foods.
I feel like I was stuffing myself with food and more food that day. HAHA.
Thinking back, we ate waffles, ODEN, Quick Bite Pizza and the last one I gonna introduce below.

Quick Bite Teriyaki Chicken with Pearl Rice.
Actually its the Japan sticky rice but the rice aint sticky at all.
And I love the Teriyaki sauce!
If the 7-Eleven near my office has this, I will get it for lunch.
It only $3.90! Cheap and nice.

Ending this post with us and the goodies bag.
Thank you very much, 7-Eleven for the wonderful hospitality. :D
