Saturday Date with boyfriend at Vanilla Bar & Cafe along Boon Tat Street.
I have been around the area for about a year plus but I didn't know that there's sucha cafe there.
Boyfriend ordered the brunch menu while I ordered Japanese cuisine.
Yes, the cafe provides such fusion food because it is a Japanese inspired western cafe.

What attracts the boyfriend is the Vanilla Dirt Cake listed in the menu.
Cake in a flower pot, sounds cute and pretty~





As you can see the soil-like crumbs are made of crushed Oreo cookies.
Below the Oreo cookies consists of cream cheese mousse.
And the 3 gummy sweets are the "worms".
I think the concept is unique.

In the night, a part of Orchard Road's road was closed for some event.
We took the chance to walk the road. Haha..

And I saw the Milo truck giving free Milo.
So we went to queue up for it.
I really miss this!
Back to my primary school days, during the school sports day, they have this Milo truck and many of us love to queue for it and get a cup of cold Milo to drink. #ChildhoodMemory




Continue strolling down, we chanced upon the cute mascots playing drum.
Decided to take a photo of them. :)






So that's how I spent my Saturday.
Kind of fulfilling day but can be better..

Fulfilling Saturday

We decided to go Stateland cafe a go this time to try the waffles ice cream.
Boyfriend ordered the Black Forest Waffle while I got S'more Waffle.
It was quite disappointing and I didn't really like it.



After our lunch, we headed down to Marina Barrage.
Thinking that we haven been there for quite sometimes so I suggested to go there.
Boyfriend also borrowed kite from his friend.
It was a very windy and I managed to fly it up but not very high.
Need to find somewhere whereby there are not much people and kites around so we can easily fly it.
Marina Barrage is quite crowded.

It was a beautiful evening.







We had dinner at Satay by the Bay.
It was my first time there and we tried one of the steamboat store.
Hopefully, I could try the other local food there in future.

Tolido's Espresso Nook

Boyfriend and I decided to head over to  Tolido's Espresso Nook for lunch last Saturday.
The food menu to me looks so tempting that I want to try it right away.
Indeed the food didn't disappoint me at all.


Boyfriend ordered this Smoked Salmon Carbona.
I only had 1 mouth of it and I fell in love with this.
Really tasty and the sauce is not too chessy.
Gonna order this whole plate to myself the next time I go there.


Rosti with Norwegian Salmon was my order.
Other than Marche's, this has got to be my favorite plate of Rosti!


Cafe Latte

Caramel Cuppucino.

Cafe is rather small but definitely love the food.
I'm gonna patronize this cafe soon again~

Holy Cow Creamery

Hanisha and I decided to go for the ice cream and waffle cafe around our neighborhood one day.
As we chanced upon a blog that intro some ice cream waffle cafe in Yishun and Sembawang area, we decided to visit one of them..
Decided on Holy Cow Creamery which the cafe is located at Blk 292 Yishun New Town.

We went on a Saturday evening and the crowd was quite high.
Like many cafes the space is not very big to cater many people.
Well, I guess the cafe is quite popular since its opening in September.

So our orders...


Our waffles with Honeycomb and New York Cheesecake ice cream.
I totally love the honeycomb ice cream.

Brunch Day at Dean and Deluca

Brunch Day with the boy at Orchard Central yesterday since we planned for shopping.
Surprised that we had not been in town for a month.
So this time we are there to try out this Dean and Deluca and the food is good!
Adding this into my favorite list now.

Ohh i love the salmon because there's no smoky taste.
Not sure if its smoked salmon but I really like it!
However, the bagel is too hard! D;
Kinda spoil the food..





Enjoyed the food and the ambience of the place.
They do sells cakes like Rainbow cake, Red Velvet Cake, etc..
We shall try it one day for dessert~ ;)

After a full brunch, we went to burn some calories by shop walking to the usual shopping mall/ stores.
And I bought 3 shoes from H&M. Madness.
But the price is equal to 1 Pedro shoes which is quite worth it lah.. Haha~

Selfish Gene Cafe

Hello hello.. How was your April's Fool Day?

I wasn't being fooled by anyone so I'm lucky~ :p

So a few weeks ago (yeah~ unproductive in blogging..) we went to check out this cafe call Selfish Gene Cafe along Craig Road.
There are a few cafe around the place, we were deciding between this and The Plain actually.
And decided on this because of the brunch menu they have.



As quoted in their website: "Gene has always been rather selfish when it comes to food. It is not that he will never share his food, but rather he will not serve anyone food that he would not eat himself.", I guess that where they got their interesting name of the cafe.




Breakfast Plate is something I like to order at any cafe for their All Day Breakfast Menu.
However for this, it look really simple.


Bagel & Smoked Salmon is the second choice I would try.
Salad is fresh, salmon is good and Bagel is toasted nicely too.


Kenny said that the Banana Cake is the most popular here.
Too bad I don't eat banana so I didn't get to try it but it look nice. Haha~

Overall, the place is also nice and cozy for gathering with friends.
It wasn't crowded on a Sunday afternoon when we were there.
Probably the area is quite far from the town area even though it quite centralize?

Beautiful Saturday Date

For the past 2 weeks, Boyfriend and I did not had our usual time spent with each other due to wedding invitation flooding.
So this weekend, we had a good outing.

We started out brunch at Kith Cafe at Park Mall.


My Ice Matcha ($7.50) and His Ice Honey Latte ($7.00)


Bacon Toasties ($6.50)
Price not worthy but its my favorite toasties, I love to DIY myself to eat at home.


And boyfriend ordered this Carbonara ($18.00)
I tried it and its not bad.
As you can see it is not the creamy type but the dry type of Carbonara.


Got a side dish, Calamari ($14.00) because the people next table ordered it and Boyfriend got tempted.
Portion is quite big for 2 people though..

Overall Kith Cafe is good place to chill out.
The space is big, not only indoor seats but they have many outdoor seats too.
Food wise, we still have tried the main brunch but still feel that it quite pricey.
They charge not only GST but 10% Service charge as well, making the overall bill $62.40 for the above food that we ordered.

Then we went jalan around and came to a space area near the Sakura Buffet where there are many sculpture.


Saw this rainbow ropes and camwhore time!















After which, we headed down to Esplanade/ Marina Bay Sands to see the i Light Marina Bay 2014 (http://www.ilightmarinabay.sg/)

Had a great day even though our legs got really tired after the long hours walk. Haha~
