Give Blood Save Lives

Today (15 July), I went for my first blood donation.
It wasn't impromptu as I've been thinking about it for a few weeks.
In fact, I wanted to be a blood donor when I was young but I wasn't brave enough and also due to my low hemoglobin history.
My mum always discourage me to donate as well.
However, I am adult now and I want to make decision for myself.
Glad that I did it! :)

I walked into the Blood Bank at Dhoby Ghaut by myself.
Looked around, unsure of the next step, then I saw the walk-in form. so I took a form and walked to a space to fill up the questionnaire.
Without thinking much into it, I submitted the form at the registration counter.
Got a queue number then waited for my turns to do check up.
There are 2 checks to go through which is fast.
First, I went into a room which seems to be a consultation room.
The doctor looked through my form and checked my temperature.
Next, it is a blood test room and I passed the test.
I waited for almost an hour before I get to donate blood.

In the blood donation room, I was shivering because I was sitting somewhere where the air-con was damn strong.
Actually, I was quite worried that I couldn't make it.
I am afraid that I will faint or felt giddiness.
When the needle was inserted into me, it was quite painful but luckily the pain didn't last long.
The drawing of blood process for me took maybe 5-7mins as my blood flow is smooth.
The people there are very kind and helpful as they keep ensuring that I am okay.
I chatted with one of the auntie and got to know that 1 pack of blood expires in 1 month but not to worry, it will be used up within a month because there's always insufficient blood in the blood bank.

My next appointment is in October, I guess I'll try to pull G to go donate with me. Muahaha..
So give blood and save lives.
Oh, also donating blood can give you health benefits too, just go google about it.
And for me.. its mission accomplished and achievement unlock. :)

Proposal + Staycation at W Hotel Sentosa Cove

我的爱情长跑七年半，终于有点进步了。

I want to write a short story on the day of 12 December 2015.
This is just for my memory keepsake.

The fake proposal
So I received a group FB chat from Veron's bf account with Lyn on Monday (7 Dec 2015) night..
The smart me assumed its a proposal for Veron because the BF wouldn't message us out of nowhere.
The proposal was set on 12 December 2015 and since I have nothing on, I accepted the "help".
We had the discussion throughout the week.

Actual day of Proposal
On that day itself, we do as what we planned.
We met up at 2.30pm at Habourfront for late lunch at Pizza Hut.
Then we go shopping around, trying to drag the time till 7pm.
The time became very slow to me on that day because we couldn't find things to do.

We took the shutter bus from Vivocity and reached W hotel at Sentosa Cove at about 7.30pm.
In the hotel reception, I was asked to find someone called "Paul", but in actual fact there's no one by the name of this.
This was the silliest thing that my friend tricked me. I LOL-ed when the truth was out!
So there was this lady who brought us to the Away Room.
And that's when the actual proposal start.
It was all video-ed down.

I never understand why women love diamond.
I wasn't a diamond lover because I afraid that it will dropped out because I don take care of stuff well.
Its so expensive and has no much value, unlike gold.
But now, I know why women love diamond.
The shiny diamond really makes a woman's heart flutters.

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever received!




The next morning, we had breakfast and then have a morning walk at Sentosa cove.
A different sight of Singapore.
Kinda feel like I was in Brisbane because I saw many Caucasian having morning run.










Stopped at the end of Sentosa Cove and saw a beautiful view here.
Damn the rich people!


I was resting at the daybed in my room and it suddenly pour.
Its raining the whole of Saturday and Sunday.

My thoughts
Actually a few days before the proposal, I kept having the 6th sense that this proposal could be for me.
However, I am not very sure so I dare not confirm.
But in my mind, I keep thinking this might be a fake proposal for a real proposal (for me).

Thankful
The proposal will not be successful without the help of a few special people.
I am truely thankful.

Gratitude

I feel that my life for the past years till now got better and better.
If its wasn't for the HR who helped me up my salary price for KT, if it wasn't for my sales manager who helped me fight for my rights, I don't think along the way till now it will be as good as now.
I am grateful and thankful for the people I've met and helped me.
If its isnt for them, maybe I am unable to travel Taiwan or travel other countries every year. Haha..

Working in KT is a love and hate relationship.
From the start, I complaint being lonely and alone but I got through it and worked there for almost 3 years.
KT made me realize that I am self-discipline and capable even though I do slack a bit.
My parents and friends said that I had a good life working in KT.
Pay was good and can shake legs sometimes as well. :O
Well... I agree to a certain extend because sometimes when no one is in the office I could surf the web, watch shows and so on. LOL.
However, that depends if I have my work done or not as I said that I am self-discipline so I slack provided I have done all my work and no outstanding.

Anyway, working there, I learnt a lot of things that gain me good knowledge and will help me in my future career.
So its time for me to find a better environment and maybe career prospect. :)

I received some well wishes from my Malaysian and Japanese colleagues and I feel very appreciated by them.
So one of my director in HQ came down on 6 May to have a farewell dinner for me with the company.
Everything went well.

Lastly, thanks again to KT and those who helped me along the way.
So bliss to meet friends rather foes. :D

Finally I DID IT!

This has got to be one of the best day in my life.
I'm officially a licensed driver!
Words can't describe how happy I was!
Even though the tester seems like he's reluctant to pass me, I still passed! xD

I started my driving lessons 4 years ago, in 2009, learning the manual car in school.
After 6 failed attempt, I decided to change to auto with private instructor last year.
This is my 2nd attempt for driving auto car.
Yes, after a total of 8 attempts I finally passed.
So you can imagine how much thousands I spend on just learning this car. *smack forehead*

I was demoralizing every time I failed my test.
However, I always got encouragement from my friends and family.
Never give up and one day you will reach your goal. :)

I was so happy until I could not control my tears while messaging my BF and dad.
It was tears of joy!
Anyway, quite embarrassing though.
Passed already still cry~ -_-

Anyway I'm very thankful to Uncle Ling, who is my private driving instructor.
Sometimes, he really beat my hand or arm when I always make an early turn.
However, I know its all for good lah..
Still, I will feel not very happy about it though. LOL!
I still can remember during CNY period, he gave me pineapple tarts and mandarin orange to eat when I was driving. Haha..

Last but not least, a fulfilled resolution after all these year. =D


P/S: Not planning to get any cars yet as I can't afford it unless I earn big big money lah!
P/P/S: Can try to drive my BF's car. LOL. =X
