Happy 49th Birthday, Singapore!

9 August is the National Day for Singapore.
This year, I tried balloting for the NDP tickets using all my family ID number.
The lucky ID that got picked was my Dad's.
So I got a pair of actual day tickets.
Since dad won't be going for the parade, boyfriend and I went.
It's my first actual day attending the NDP, previously went was the rehearsal so its more meaningful this year. :)

Alrite, I'll let most of the pictures to do the talking..

Sitting at the Green Sector.

Long Long queue...

Finally the best of the day - Firework display!

The feeling watching from the TV is always different when you are at the scene.
It was a great day, with no rain luckily. Haha~
Lastly, Happy 49th Birthday, Singapore!

Boracay 2014 - Day 1 When We Reached Boracay

Hello, in May 2014, boyfriend and I went for a short 4D3N (4-7 May 2014) beach getaway to Boracay, a small island in Philippines.
I have always want to step foot in Boracay because of the azure blue sea and powdery white sands so I was really happy that my turn came..

To start, this post is to give you the information and the procedure when we reached Boracay.
Hmmm.. some parts are redundant which are for my record purposes. :p

Singapore to Kalibo Airport: Via Tigerair @ S$233.87 per pax (10:45hrs flight and reached 14:20hrs)
Accomodation: Booked via Hotel.com - Stay at Patio Pacific Boracay @ S$518.43 for 2 person.

Since our flight 10:45hrs that day, we usually reach about 2hr earlier to check in.
On that day, we also went to the Sunflower Garden at T2 before our flight.
Didn't know that Changi Airport had such a beautiful place until recently. ^^

Huge bear in Changi Airport!

So we boarded the plane at 10:45hr from Singapore.
It was a long long journey from Singapore to Boracay.
So much time wasted on the first day when we arrived in resort in Boracay. Sigh~

Anyway, our flight was delayed and we reached Kalibo Airport at 2.55pm.
After immigration, head out and you will see many Filipino promoting taxi, bus, etc to transport you to Boracay.
Because we researched online, and boyfriend said that we should go ahead with Southwest, so we did.
Transport fee for Southwest is 550php which includes the bus ticket, boat ticket, environment fee, terminal fee, shutter bus to hotel ticket.
I guess that is very much convenient. You just pay once and everything is arranged for you.
From the ticket we received, you can see that we have to transit many times...

Something to take note: Remember to have small change! If you don't have, you can change small change with the currency exchange before buying the ticket.

We left the airport at 3.45pm. Took the bus to the ferry terminal which is about 1.5hr journey ride.
Reached the ferry terminal (Caticlan Jetty Port) at around 5.30pm.
Then we waited for the boat, like the photo below, and took the boat at 5.50pm.
Took about 15mins to reach the Boracay Island.

After which, we transit to our resort and reached at 7pm+.
We took about 1hr to reach our hotel because the jam was bad and there were also other passenger to be sent to their hotel so depends on your luck if you are the first or last to be fetched there.
Well, what I can say that it was a long tedious ride.

By the way, there are almost no streets light there during the night.
Its almost depending on the lights from the stores along the streets.

Our stay at Patio Pacific Boracay is located at Station 2. Its just 5mins walk to the beach.
Its near some good food around.
As compared to maybe the resort at the beach area, the noise level within our room is still okay.
We can hear the sounds of the motorbikes or tuk-tuks passing by.
The room is quite spacious but the design inside seems quite old.
The staffs there are friendly.

Our welcome drink after we checked in which taste like Pandan with pineapple.. I am not sure..

So we had our dinner at one of the Korean restaurant near our resort.
Its an authentic one because the boss is a Korean.
The food are acceptable.

I have come to an end for my Day 1.
Preview of the beautiful beach in Boracay.
Will be back with the Day 2 post soon. Ciao~

HABA Firming Lift Up Beauty

Bought my 1 month supply (30 bottles) of HABA Firming Life Up Beauty Collagen to try.
I like the taste of it.
Out of all collagen I tried till date, I love DHC and HABA.

HABA has 2 beauty collagen - one is the Firming and one is whitening.
I need the firming one more than whitening and that's how my decision was made.

Firming Life Up Beauty consist of the below benefits:
Placenta extract - Increase skin firmness and minimize visible pores while fighting fatigue at the same time.
Astaxanthin - Helps collagen production while blocking the enzyme that decomposes collagen at the same time.
Pomegranate Seed Powder Extract - Contains Estrone, a kind of Estrogen.
Japanese Rose from Hokkaido - Extract from pesticide-free blooms. Rich in vitamin C and known to promote blood circulation. Also help in skin brightening and hormone-balancing effects.

I tried for a month and I feel my skin is less pimply.
However, I find that it is quite pricey for a 2,500mg collagen.

Gone Missing And Back!

Heyyyy..
I just got back from my trip to Queensland last Sunday which explains why the hiatus of my blog.
Currently, I'm drafting the first part of my Boracay trip still.
And I hope that I can post it soon..
With so many backlog, I am also feeling kinda lazy whenever I have to write up the post.
Also, my memory of those trips are fading so I have to try to remember as much as I could... D;

Well about my recent trip to Queensland, it was the first time that I dread leaving my country.
What I can say is that you have to find the right traveling partner.
Because you have to be with that person for the rest for the days of the trip and in a day for 16hr (exclude 8hr slp time).
So yeah.. I guess this time my personality with my traveling partner sorta clash, so we have quite a bit of unhappiness in between..

Out of all the people I traveled with, my best traveling partner would be my boyfriend!
Which I feel that I am lucky to have him with me during every trip we traveled together. :)

Anyway, it's my first experience in a Western country.
As you can see from my travelogue, previously I have only traveled to Asia country.
It's a different experience and seeing different things.
I'm thankful for the experience though.
However, if my travel partner is a better person, it would make my whole trip happier..

P.S: 有时候你只要感受过一次,你就会了解明白。之后就不要再犯同样的错误。

South Korea - Beewon Guesthouse Review

My stay in Beewon Guesthouse was okay.
I like the location of the guesthouse which is convenient.
It is about 5mins to 10mins walk to Auguk Station and Jongno-3-ga Station from the guesthouse.

And it is also convenient to travel to Myeong-dong and other area which are just few stations away.
Additionally if you have read my previous posts, you can also see that the guesthouse is also near to some nice cafes which my girls and I had our breakfast.

Other than the first night that we encountered a bad experience with them, the other days that we stayed in were fine..
If you are a cat lover, you might love this place too because there are many cats and kittens living around the area.

For your information, we stayed in a Triple room that caters for 3 adults at 60,000 KRW which I feel its very affordable.
Its like about $20+ per night per pax.
The room has 2 single bed and a futon mat, and bathroom for ourselves which you do not need to share with strangers.
Actually our room was rather old and small but still cozy for the 3 of us..
I read that it has renovated, so I hope it's better to accommodate now..

FYI, here is the website for the guesthouse: http://www.beewonguesthouse.com/en/

Haha "unlike" cause we wasn't happy that period of time..

So you want to know my grandmother story of the bad experience is as below:

On the day we moved from Sokcho to Seoul, due to the traffic jam and its our first time there so the place is unfamiliar to us so we had to find the Guesthouse, we reached Beewon Guesthouse at about 11pm.
We got to know from the Reception Guy named "S" that our room was given to other people.
"S" thought that we wouldn't be staying for that night because it was very late.
We got really angry and find it's ridiculous that such a thing happened to us because from previous travelling experience we didn't such crap service.
So we got into a big hoo-ha and wanted to cancel our stay there and demand for refund but he refused even if we called police (the police part is added by him, we didn't said anything about police).
At first, "S" suggested that we should take the dormitory for a day, but after checking the dormitory, we refused.
He tried to called other guesthouse if they can give us a room but none accepted our answered the call.
So we said that we go out and find a place of our own to stay.
After finding a motel, we came back telling him we wanted to cancel but he said he got a room for us to stay for a day there..
After discussing, we decided to give in.
And we got to stay for a night in another guesthouse.
So the next morning, 2 guys came and picked us and our heavy luggages back to Beewon Guesthouse.
And these is my grandmother story..

Actually we didn't talk to "S" until the last day when he helped us to arrange for cab back to the airport.
So I'm not sure.. anyway maybe he felt that we are troublesome customer but it was their wrong in the first place..
FYI, I did email to inform that we will reached the guesthouse late night..
Anyway, let bygones be bygones..
I will find a better place to stay in in future.. =)
