I Breathe The Air of TAIWAN!

HALLO~~!
Posting this Taiwan trip post now as promised hmm months ago..
I know is super backdated because im really lazy and also no time. (yada yada.. excuses!!)
Also, to fill this space with loads and loads of photos!
Total of around 180 photos lor.
BOMBARD all of it here for you all to see!!

So yup, i went over to Taiwan with BF again from 3rd Nov 2010 to 8 Nov 2010.
THAT WAS OUR SECOND TRIP!!!!!
Free and Easy this time!
Though everything was familiar, some things was still quite new to us.
Did planning on where to go on which days but ended up we dont really go according to it. Tsk!
Sigh... By typing these, I miss Taiwan now.. :(((((((
Enough said, i'll try to recount what we did there...

This time we took Cathay Pacific over.
And everything was self-booked unlike the 1st trip, we booked through ChanBrother.
Luckily, DBS cards got promo that time when i chanced upon their website.
We had to transit from HK to Taiwan.
Self booked is cheaper by about $200.
However, maybe cannot compare because 1st trip, we took SQ!

So our first time experience in CX is ok.
Of cos, the SQ seat is definitely better than CX luhhh!

Flying to HK first..

Up Up in the sky~

Lunch Provided.

More photos of us! :p

If im not wrong, we reach HK 3-4 hours later..
Shopped around the duty free area while waiting for our flight to Taiwan.

BF saw this cute panda bear at one of the duty free shop and he finally bought one when we came back SG.

Refreshment! Chicken cheese pie if i am not wrong.
Its not very nice so i didnt finished it.

Pretty skyline..

Reached Taiwan and its night time at ard 6PM+!

Took Evergreen bus from Taoyuan to Taipei!
Its cheap + the time to Taipei is about 50mins!
Its quite fast!

We alighted at Shuanglian Station and a short walk to our hotel - Shin Shih.
Its not really a big hotel, i guess its motel.? What the diff? Haha..
Anyway the room is cosy enough for 2.
I love that it is really accessible to the MTR by taking a short walk.
There are convenient store and MCD store there.
Receiptionist is really helpful as well!
Also, Shuanglian station is quite central which allow us to go anywhere easily.
There's complimentry wireless connection for us too!
Satalie TV with lots of channel thus we were not bored during our stay there.
If we were to go back there, i might choose back that hotel! :D

After checking in, we went to ShiLin Night Market for our dinner and short walk.
The weather outside is really cooling~ Loves it!

Back to our fave store!

Many people shopping during the night time still.
Its like the city never sleeps.

For those who love Taiwan spree online, you might know this brand!
Found this at Shilin.
There are a few outlets in Taipei but i only found this..
I bought a few clothes from there back! ^~^
Good buy for me!

Found this iPhone 4.
But i guess its fake one cos that time white still not available.

LOADS OF CHEWING GUMS!

Second day (4/11/2010)....

Hotel room number.. hehe~

Kinda miss my bangs..

Outfit of the day.
Outside the lift, a big mirror to camwhore daily. ^^

Its drizzling so we carry the umbrella.
The wind was also strong that time.

Wanted to visit this NYNY but the close was close for renovation!
Kinda shocked and waste trip..
Cos we saw a book and said that this place is a must go! :/

So cloudy/ foggy above the building of Taipei 101.

Whole stretch of bicycles for rent.

Use their "EZlink" to rent. So cool~
Why SG dont have one?

Since NYNY is under renovation, we went Vieshow cinema to walk around.

The inside.

Very cute icon!

Tried this hashbrown in cubes size.

Continue to walk around till we are hungry and went to eat Watami at one of the shopping mall.
BF didnt tried the SG outlet at ION so i bought him to try the Taiwan one.
Actually it tastes the same. HAHA!

We went Wufenpu to shop then to Shilin to continue shopping.

8.06PM, at 21 Degree celsius.

My boots spoilt on the way when we shopped. I only wear less than 5 times and its spoilt. *SOBS* So i bought a new short ankle boots.

Dinner is Ah Zhong Mian Xian!

Some packet of drinks that you dont see in SG.
There are full of it in the store like 7-11.
I really love it. Its really nice~

Third day (5/11/2010)....

We didnt woke up early as the previous day as we found out that their shops dont open so early like SG!

Our outfit of the day..
Coat that i bought from WuFenPu and its brand is MaxMara.
I not sure if its the real MaxMara or not~ -.-

So on this day, we went to Zhong Xiao Fu Xing.
STM BF found out that he didnt bring his wallet when we reached our station.
Then we went back all the way to our hotel to take it.
Luckily, the place we went is near to the hotel.
If not i will *&%*&^)(*^&(%$^&#! Hahaha..

We were trying to find where is DONG QU.
Sheauwei said its a must go and i saw TV that there were lots of things to buy and see.
However, we couldnt figure out the place so we just anyhow explore.
We went Sogo and a few places.

This clock looks like something i saw it in HK Disneyland.

Our lunch!

His.

Mine.

We were sitting next to this ice cream store which tempted me so much that i went to buy it.

Yummy..

Look what we found there!?!?!

KOI in Taiwan (50嵐)
I was very happy and excited.
But ordering from them is very headache.
Their chinese i really cannot catch up lor.. *throw face*

After which, we went in to SASA to shop for like 1hr?
Its not that the shop is big or what but we spend time choosing.
The stuff is cheaper than SG.
Got some good buys there! Hehe..

After shopping there, it was still quite early so we decided to go Raohe Night Market.

Totally packed with people!

Actually we wasnt sure how to go there.
So we took to Nangang.
From there we thot there's shuttle bus but after finding out from passerby that we sort of went the wrong way, we went to take cab in the end.

Its another night market in Taipei.
Its abit more lok kok and smaller.
And ShinLin is more trendy place and biggest in Taiwan i guess.
Still we went around and get some stuff at cheap price!

See what we found? Lol~
Its actually sweet or mashmallow..

Tried this fried mushroom there.
Its actually nice when you first eat but after that you get sick of it after that because its too oily.

Cant remember we shopped until wat time.
But i was really tired.

We tabao food from convenient store on our way back to hotel. HAHA!
Seems like are not eating healthy.

Mine.
I think its not that bad. Haha..

BF's beef noodle.
Famous for real beef inside the cup noodles!

Eating and watching 下一站,幸福 on tv. ^^

Something to share.
Bought at Raohe..
Guess?

Fourth day (6/11/2010)....

As we heard on the news that there will be fireworks, we were excited.

Saw this outside ShuangLian MTR on our way.
It stated free shuttle bus!
Decided to take it.

So we went to Taipei Botanical Garden.

Map of the place.

All the withered lotus. D;

Luckily not all flowers were withered.

See what BF's doing?

Close up.

After one hour of walk and exploring, we proceed to our next destination.

Yup, to XIMENDING next!

The train took quite sometimes to come.
So we camwhore!

Funny shots i know. ;p

This is what we buy when we step into Ximending!
Also bought KOI there.

The Ah Zhong Mian Xian here got very long queue and very crowded!

Shopped and got some cheap belts back if i am not wrong.
Also we bought stuff from Daiso there.

Lunch/Dinner at....

Dont know how to say this store in English. Sorry. Haha..

If you want to know about your luck u gt to pay!

Hmm actually overall, i dont really like it here.
I came here because my friend went there and they posted nice pic of the food.
But its quite a disappointment to me. D:

We went back to hotel at around 6+pm.
Wanted to take the shuttle bus to see the fireworks as i mentioned above.
However, the queue was damn long.
We were afraid that we might miss the show so we took a cab instead!

At Da Dao Cheng.

It was drizzling at that time.

Cant remember how long we waited for the show.
About 1h30mins i guess.
Its actually 30mins of firework show.
However, until the 15mins+ the sky was too smoky that we couldnt see much fireworks.
Sucha disappointment at that time.
I guess all of us there were disappointed..
I could see people leaving when the show is not even finish.
I capture the video but lazy to upload as the file is big so you wont be able to see it. :(
By the way, FYI this firework show is due to the opening of Flora Expo in Taipei.
It started from Nov 2010 to Apr 2011 if i am not wrong.
Interested, you can google it out.

So after the fireworks show, we stayed on for the concert!
It was damn cool hearing live from Nicky 李玖哲 and Kenji 吳克群!
All of us get so high! Especially i love Kenji's live singing! ^^
YaoYao was there to perform and Linda was the MCee of the concert.
Uploaded their live below, you can preview it!

3mins+ of getting high!
Damn shiok!
I almost danced~ LOL

This is YaoYao one of the performance. Not full.

Performance by Kenji Wu.
Love it!
He's very good in performing live!
When he sang slow songs, i was really touched. :)

Can see Nicky Lee?

And Kenji Wu? Hahahahaa...

Taiwan Satellite Car? Haha..

Hmm.. sth different..

Didnt finish watching the concert and we left.
Wanted to catch the last train back.
Luckily we managed to. :)
Tiring day that we stayed out the latest for our trip.

Fifth Day (7/11/2010)....
The last full day outing.
We went to Danshui for walk and tried to catch sunset at fisherman's wharf!
Ate quite a few nice food there! yumyum~*

Eating ice cream on a cold weather. *Brrrrr~*

Fishball soup! Very nice..

Inside got meat one..
Awww i missed it!

This is Ah Gei.
Got a few flavours, i cant remember.
One of the must try as well!

The most famous Ah Po Tie Dan shop!
One of the motive to go to Danshui!
Very hard to find.
We asked a few people then finally found it.

This look rather tempting that i bought it to try.
Not too bad. :)

Taiwan people loves dog very much!
Anywhere we go, we can see dogs around.

Then we took a bus to Fisherman's Wharf (漁人碼頭).

Upon reaching....
(photos with no caption.)

Sunset!!
Couldnt really see it nicely. :(

It was really cold there.

The lady singing unplugged.
Beautiful voice.

Whole view.

Sky getting darker.
Beautiful lightings.

After that, we went back to ShinLin.

BF's craving. -.-"

水煎包.
Its nice actually.

Back to hotel to do packing!

All the japalang stuff we bought.
I guess there's more!

Last Day (8/11/2010)....
Woke up earlier to pack and have breakfast.
Check out at 12pm.
Wanted to try taking the High Speed Train(HSR) to Taoyuan then to airport.

Our loots.

It take about 20mins, if i am not wrong, to reach Taoyuan!
Damn fast!
But to Kaohsiung then it would be 1hr plus and it cost SGD100+. :/

Then we followed the crowded and took a Ubus to Aiport.

We reached early and the customer service counter told us that we could take an earlier flight back to HK! And so we did!

Before leaving Taiwan, he had desserts at Starbucks!
After currency converter, the Mocha Frappe is $1 cheaper than in SG!

Yummlicious choco cake!

We saw some teenager at the airport waiting for SHINEE.
I guess SHINEE went TW for performance and they were leaving.
Sadly we didnt saw them.

Goodbye Taiwan. :(

When we reached HK, it waited for like 3hrs+ to board the plane back to SG.
We were so bored inside the airport while waiting!

Thank god there were wireless in the airport so we really didnt feel that bored!
We enjoyed drinking, playing iphone games, looking at the sky turning dark before we took the plane at 7.30pm back to SG.

Back to SG at around 11pm+
Tired long flight.

Got to carry heavy stuff back home too! :/

So yup!
Below are my buys!

As you can see.. not much clothing! D:

Total great buy for this!
Especially the dolly wink pencil eyeliner! I love it so much! I gonna ask sheauwei to get it for me when she go over to Taiwan! Weet!
